Therefore we need to be ever comfortable with learning and exploring what could be and what is possible, cultivating creativity and applying ideas with intelligence.

We invest more than double the industry average in learning and development, we have a 4-day week, we have oodles of resources and we have protected time to work on personal research and development projects. What’s not to like?

At ELSE we choose to work on projects with meaning, where there is an opportunity for profound and positive impact on people’s lives. Whether it’s internal R&D or client work, we aim to create sustained change and deliver long-term value.


Push the agenda

It is a prerequisite that we actively participate in the development of experience design practice. Therefore we are continually researching and creating new methodologies and thought leadership, to share with colleagues and progressively to develop the discipline.


4-Day Week

At ELSE we walk the talk and do a 4-day week. We don’t work on Fridays. Instead we chose to use that time to grow as people. We firmly believe that creativity, ideas and innovation require room to breathe and space to gestate and the 9–5 is the antithesis of that.

Space to explore

A culture of R&D

Over the last 2 years, we’ve been cultivating our own R&D projects by setting aside time to allow everyone at ELSE to experiment, outside of their client work. We like to spend time outside of client work exploring emerging experiential trends and technology, looking at how the practice of Experience Design can address challenges of our time such as climate change.

Intern programme

We have access to emerging design talent through relationships with some of the best universities and design institutions (Imperial College London, Brunel, Northumbria University). We advise on courses, deliver modules and lectures, and run formal internship programs with two intakes a year. Interns have joined us from . Interested in a placement with us?
