As inflation reaches a 40-year record high, ELSE’s “Big Switch Off” report leverages insights from over 1,500 bill payers based in the United Kingdom to reveal what people want – and how they feel – about their energy providers. 

The findings, from April 2022, reveal a strong interest and awareness when it comes to personal energy consumption, contradicting the long-held assumption that energy is a low-engagement sector. Despite this, customer loyalty is at rock bottom, with energy providers failing to empower people to take control of their energy footprint.
